An Indian singer, Tochi Raina is a notable playback singer of Bollywood. He is popularly known for songs like Kabira, Saibo, Aali Re and Maldar Ki Jeb, among many others. Born on 2nd September 1971, to Sahib and Surjit Singh, he finished schooling in Nepal, where his father was posted as a government employee. He belongs to a family with a history of music background; right from his grandmother to his sister, everyone has been into music.
After moving to Delhi, he trained in music under Pandit Vinod Kumar. His guru was a disciple of Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan Ali Khan was a renowned actor of Hindi Cinema. He moved to Mumbai to progress in his journey and got his first break with A Wednesday, a 2008 film. The night he finished recording the song Saibo for Shor in the City, is when his daughter was born and thus named after the song.
