Simon Frenay

Simon Frenay is a French actor known to Indians for playing a stellar role in Bollywood movie ‘Shab’. After a series of the audition, Simon was selected as director Onir was on a lookout for a French look in the movie. Earlier, this French actor Simon came to spotlight with the movie ‘The Army of Crime’ (L'Armee du crime), which was a 2009 French movie.

This movie was directed by Robert Guediguian and found its screening as the official entry for Cannes Film Festival.  After this film, he got into another noteworthy project of director Robert Guediguian, Robert also directed in 2011 another French movie named ‘The Snows of Kilimanjaro' (Les Neiges du Kilimandjaro), which had the first show screening in the 'Un Certain Regards' at Cannes.

It was a unique subject which was watched by the young generation.

It is said that the director of the movie Onir felt Simon had boyish charms and glamour in his face and personality and this was essential for him to cast the French actor. Besides, we all know that Simon is really a brilliant actor whose films was screened at the international film festival. The actor helped in getting an international market for the movie ‘Shab’ as he helped to showcase the movie for a global platform.
