Rupesh Tillu

Rupesh Tillu is an Indian actor, director ,and independent film-maker, born and reared in Mumbai, India. He has received a prestigious MFA in Physical Comedy from The National School of Dramatic Arts, Sweden. He has also received a myriad of international theatre awards, such as Outstanding Artist in Stockholm Fringe Festival 2012, A Special Jury Award- Best of Prague Fringe Festival 2013 and, many more.

His new work or gig, HarOch Nu is funded by TystTeater/Rikisteatern, from Swedish National Theatre, which was premiered in March 2017 in Sweden. It was followed by a national tour. Moreover, he has also worked with several well-known theatre companies. For instance, Avikal Theatre Company (India), Urban Theatre Company (Sweden), TeaterSlava (Sweden), Banateatern (Sweden). He has done exploration with Clowns without Borders to Moldova, Palestine, Israel, India, Jordan, Nepal, Bhutan and, Egypt.

He is also a part of Dromstalle- A clown trio,which became a quick success in most of the theatres of Sweden in the year 2013. Since then, it is touring successfully in all the renowned theatres of Sweden. He has also done some vocational training. They are FhskVardinge By Professional Clown training with Clowns without Borders Sweden. He has also once worked for UNESCO Centre for Peace, Fredrick M.D, USA. He is the founder and artistic director of Theatreact.
