Romit Prasher fondly known as Raj is a Mumbai based actor who lived in Mumbai for the initial ten years of his life. An exception amongst the actors who make it big in Mumbai, Romit’s acting career started only once he moved to Kolkata. Along with his education, he was always keen on taking part in school and college plays. In addition to his modeling career getting started, he also got the opportunity of working with reputed Bengali directors and did some Bengali television and films. Once the actor moved back to Mumbai in 2002, his acting career in Hindi television took off with his role of Yuvraj in the once famous serial Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyan. He seemed to have struck a chord with this role as there was no looking back from here and he also bagged the role of Jeet in the serial Maayka. Both the Zee TV serials worked wonders for him and this young, talented actor became known in every household. Apart from television, he reportedly tried his luck with Bollywood too with films like Humdum and Yatra in the years 2005 and 2007 respectively. Surprisingly, they seemed to have studied together in Kolkata but only met through The Internet. Having kept in touch only through email initially, they met after two whole years and the rest, as they say, is history. It’s on 28th March 2010 that the happy couple tied the knot in Thaj One Hotel in Pune. Both being truly Punjabis at heart, the wedding was for sure a lavish one. Being a foodie himself, the actor made sure the best food was served at his wedding. Married life seems to have worked well for the couple and they were blessed with a baby girl named Rehaa Raj on 30th April, 2012. Talking about his later activities, the actor had taken up the role of Varun on the show Adaalat but had left it in the year 2013 and had made a comeback later in 2015. For the first time, he was seen donning different avatars and was reportedly very excited about this new venture. His role was well appreciated amongst the audience.
