Mushtaq Kak is an Indian-Actor and a Director. He was born and brought up in Jammu & Kashmir. He has worked with the Shri Ram Centre, New Delhi at the position of Artistic Director. For the movie Andha Yug, Malika, and Pratibimb he has received the awards of best director. In the years 1999 and 2000, he has received awards for the Best Play. The name of the plays are Maha Brahmin and Alladad. His film Andorra, was a blockbuster movie. More than 100 plays are directed by him and due to that, he has gained much experience. Some of the movies in which he has acted includes Hijack, Sikandar, and Hollywood movie Amal. Some of the short stories in which he has worked are named as Saadat Hasan Mantos, Anton Chekhov’s Cherry Ka Bagicha, Vijay Tendulkar’s Ghansi Ram Kotwal, Krishan Chander’s Gadhe Ke Wapsi, Sharad Joshi’s Alladab, Vasant Kanetkar’s Kasturi Mrig, Moti Lal Kemmo’s Nagar Udaas, Federico Garcia's The Blood Wedding.
