Deepak Dutta is an Indian Television and film actor, who also appeared in two Bollywood movies Dil Kabaddi (2008) and Bhagat Singh (2002). Deepak Dutta got his debut lead role in producer Ramanand Sagar’s ‘Bhagat Singh’, which was directed by , and the music was composed by . But the film was premiered as a serial in DD despite it was a feature film and reached the audiences. The show was telecast in night prime time for Indian television viewers. Later on, he acted in another movie Dil Kabaddi in a small role. The actor has acted with , and Hrishita Bhatt in some movies in the early 2000's.

The actor signed some TV episodes in between 2012 and 2013 and was constantly re-appearing in almost every popular serial that was aired in TV circuits. In 2010, he appeared in the role of Jai in a TV serial ‘Saath Nibhana Saathiya’ that was aired on STAR Plus. The actor was seen again in the season -2 of ‘Qubool Hai’ on ZEE TV. In 2014, the actor was seen as Rajiv Mehra in Colors Channel, ‘Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi,' which premiered on 2014 June.

Later, the actor was seen essaying the role of Pratap Saluja in ‘Anamika,' an Indian soap opera that aired on Sony Entertainment TV in 2012 and went off air on 2013. Deepak Dutta played a father role for a STAR Plus TV’s show 'Ek Doosre Se Karte Hain Pyaar Hum’ that was telecast in 2012, The actor was voted out from the Comedy show ‘Comedy Circus 1” where Indian TV celebrities had to perform with comedian performers on a highly competitive and challenging stage. and Shekar Suman were the judges for this comedy show. With a good screen presence, the actor could easily get into the skeleton of characters that he was playing and has even given many finest performances as a supporting artist in TV serials.
