Anjum Batra

Anjum Batra is an actor famous for his great performances in movies like Dev.D (2009), Force (2011), Mahi NRI (2017), Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana (2012). He is from Abohar, Fazika district located in tail of Punjab, India. His father Sh. Gulshan Batra is retired civil engineer and his mom Mrs. Babli Batra is a housewife. His sister’s name is Dr. Aanchal Batra. He got married in 2013 to Niharika Chhabra and has a 2 year old daughter, Mahira. Anjum used to do Bhangra, folk singing, group singing, histrionics, shabad when he was just 14. He is such a big fan of Singer Gurdas Maan that his friends used to call him ‘maan sahib’ in college days. He started doing theatre in college.

He started learning music from Varinder Bacchan ji in Chandigarh. He then joined Indian theatre department and passed out in 2008 with masters’ degree in dramatic arts in 2003. He got his first film (Punjabi film) in 2008 and then done a Punjabi serial also. He got famous from his role in Dev.D.
