Priya Sachdev

Priya Sachdev Kapoor is an Indian Businesswoman and model. She has been one of the country’s most successful industry figures. Priya grew up in the city of New Delhi before moving to the heart of Indian entertainment, Mumbai, to pursue a career in fashion. In 1999, she graduated from the University College of London with a Bachelor’s in mathematics and business management. Priya began her career as a banking analyst at Credit Suisse First Boston in London. She returned to India in 2002 and began working at her family’s automobile dealership, The Sachdev Group (TSG). The next year she started the Harpreet Insurance PVT. Ltd. Company. She married the business tycoon Vikram Chatwal 2006.

Her work as a fashion model and singer took off with several projects in leading commercial brands and music videos. She did acting gigs and was a part of Yash Chopra’s ‘Neal ‘n’ Nikki.’ Her commercial ventures also include the high-end boutique ‘Kitsch’ in Delhi and Mumbai, stores for the brands Lanvin, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Stella McCartney, and a ‘Love Moschino’ store in UB City at Bangalore. In 2014, she joined hands with her sister, Charu, to found the online commercial store ‘Rock N Shop.’

Her expertise in the industry got her a position as the managing director for ‘Sona Autocomp Holding’ in 2017. That year, she also celebrated her marriage to Sanjay Kapoor, after separating from her first wedding in 2011. She was appointed the head of corporate communications of the Sona Group the next year. Priya manages TSG as its chairman and is one of the most successful women in the country.
