’ title in 1983. Rekha Hande has numerous accolades won for her work in the fashion industry. She was the recipient of various beauty pageant titles like Miss Garden City, Spring Queen, Pond's Queen, May Queen, Aero Princess, and Giants Queen, and was the runner-up at Eve’s weekly.
She went on to participate in the National pageant after being crowned Miss Bangalore three times and winning the ‘Miss Karnataka’ title. After her win, she began taking up numerous modeling projects. She worked in theatre and television shows as an actress. Earlier in her career, she had been a performer of one of Karnataka’s musical-dance art forms, Yakshagana. She also took on the stage with Ophelia’s character in B.V. Karanth’s Kannada adaptation of Hamlet. Rekha continues using her titles as a means to work for charities and give back to society.
