Asha Bhat was born on September 5, 1992 in Bhadravati, Karnataka. Her parents were Mr. Subrahmanya Bhat and Mrs. Shyamala Bhat, and both of them are doctors. She had an elder sister who is a famous Paediatrician in the United States. She has done her schooling from St. Charles School, Bhadravati and her intermediate education from Alvas College, Moodbidri. She also attended an IIT JEE coaching institute, Prime Academy in Pune. She joined National Cadet Corps (NCC) while being a student of Alvas College and also took part in Republic Day Camp. She also won all-rounder award in 2009, felicitated by the President of Sri Lanka on her visit to Sri Lanka Academy. She completed her graduation from the R.V. College of Engineering in Electronic Engineering.

She took everyone by surprise by winning the “Miss Supranational” Title on December 5, 2014. She is the only Indian, who has won this title, and she showed her mettle by beating about 70 other participants.  She was also the second runner-up in “Miss Diva Universe 2014”. The whole thing is so ironic because she never thought of becoming a model. She has received training in classical music and dance. She has always been an all-rounder be it is studies, sports or other extra-curricular activities. She owes her success to her parents, friends and family who encouraged her in her endeavour. She wants to bring about a change by campaigning and standing up for women’s rights.

 She has also judged various beauty contests as a part of her one-year agreement. She has collaborated with several brands such as Close-Up, Yamaha Motor Company, and Femina Magazine. She was also ranked number one on the “itimes” list of the Most Desirable Women of Bangalore in 2014. She was also pronounced the ‘’Asian Beauty of the Year’’ in 2015.
