Vitthalbhai Patel was an Indian poet, and lyricist who wrote songs for the Hindi film industry. He also worked as a politician and was associated with the Congress party. He is a popular personality famous for his literary contributions and social service. Vitthalbhai was born in Berar, India on 21 May 1936. Vitthalbhai wrote lyrics for over 55 songs for different Hindi films and published five poem collections. He preferred to write in Hindi and Bundeli, a local dialect from his home state, Madhya Pradesh.
Vittahbhai penned the hit songs Naa Mangu Sona Chandi and Jhooth Bole Kavva Kaate from the Hindi film Bobby (1973). Vitthalbhai was a famous politician who won twice to the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly from his constituency, Surkhi.
