Prakash Braggs

Prakash Braggs is an Indian editor, journalist and author from New Delhi. He began his career as a reporter for the Hindustan Times in 1964 before launching into journalism full-time in 1968. Prakash Braggs gained national recognition following his coverage of Indira Gandhi's internal emergency decree during the late 1970s, widely seen as oppressive by civil rights activists. In 1975 he joined India Today Magazine, where he worked until 1990 and acted as its Editor for five years between 1985–1990. During this time, he wrote extensively on politics and foreign affairs at the domestic level within India and about international relations, including India's relationship with China amongst other countries across Asia & Africa continentally.

After serving a long tenure at ITM, Bragg decided to move on and become part of another publication house, The Pioneer, which published some of Prakash's successful books such "The Great Divide: Hindu Muslim Relations Since 1947", "Looking Back", "Breaking Barriers". His work over here earned him numerous awards, like the Padma Bhushan award, which has been bestowed upon those few prominent figures who have contributed significantly towards the field of Journalism in the year 2014 by President Pranab Mukherjee, among many others titles.

Some more notable works include: - A View From Behind The Lines (1977), Controversy And Commitment(1983), and Journey Through Politics Of Change (1987). Many other renowned authors too had written reviews about Prakash mentioning how impactful the role has played throughout these decades.
