Namrata Purohit

Namrata Purohit is an Indian fitness trainer and Pilates instructor. She is the only “The Pole Studio” certified Pole Fitness instructor. She is also a certified Barre instructor, a licensed EMS instructor, and the only certified ‘Boogie Bounce’ Master instructor. The fitness instructor was born on August 24, 1993, in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. From an early age, she was keen on sports. Moreover, Purohit was a national-level squash player. She also played football at the state-level. Unfortunately, she had to leave squash after a horse-riding injury at the age of 16. Purohit studied Economics at Jai Hind College. Then, she pursued an M.Sc in Sports Management at Loughborough University, England. She is also a scuba diver and studied scuba diving as a subject in her academic course. After leaving squash, she started practicing Pilates influence by her fitness expert father, Samir Purohit. She studied the Pilates course for a certain period from Lindsay G. Merrithew. After that, Purohit with her celebrity fitness instructor father established the Pilates Studio.

Thus, she became the youngest Scott Pilates instructor. She also wrote a book called The Lazy Girl’s Guide to Being Fit, to inspire people to be active in their lifestyle. Purohit is also a classical dancer and singer. The multi-talented artist thinks music incorporates movements in fitness. So she released a music video song, “Flow” to help workout with music. Furthermore, Purohit is the official fitness partner of the Femina Miss India Organization and Miss Diva. Her hard work paid off after earning the Elle Beauty Awards Fitness Expert of the Year 2017. Later, she won the Vogue Beauty Awards Fitness Expert of the Year 2017. Purohit and her father worked as the Pilates coach of the Mumbai City FC team in 2014. The multi-talented star also manages her YouTube channel, where she uploads vlogs.
