Tushar Waghela was born in 1975. He is a filmmaker and visual artist. Tushar holds a Master’s Degree in Indian Philosophy. He has been working in contemporary art and experimental cinema for 25 years. He has simultaneously worked for both theatres and prestigious OTT platforms. He is the owner and a filmmaker of Tushar Waghela Productions. More than 150 film festivals, including the Cannes Film Festival, the London Asian Film Festival, the British Film Institute, and the Mumbai Film Festival, have screened his video art, installations, short films, and experimental cinemas.
He has worked on 14 short and experimental films. His first full-length Hindi feature film, The Gray, was released on Amazon Prime Video and Fox’s digital platform Tubitv. Apart from The Gray, Waghela is known for Prisoners of Moon (2014) and The Home (2015).
