He has designed costumes for Bollywood celebrities and is one of the pioneers of men’s fashion in India. He studied fashion at SNDT University in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Narendra launched his label “FKNS” in 2000. It excels in the fusion of street style and glam. It focuses on developing trendy styles but in a more comfortable way. The collection comprises Nari’s trademark cut, fit and sharp tailoring mixed with easy silhouettes. In addition, hand embroidery, brocades, and velvets amplify the look. He prefers to work with millennials since they are the ones to illustrate fashion in present times. He is well-known for designing the athleisure collection. It is a type of clothing designed to wear during athletic activities or any such casual occasion and still look stylish.

He created this for Bombay Times Fashion Week as well. He is also adept at bridal wear. Besides, he is also the creative director at Amazon Fashion. His store was a part of Esquire US 50 Best Men’s stores in the world (2013). He was also entitled designer of the year in 2013-14 by GQ Magazine and by Economic Times in 2019-2020. He was also India’s first fashion editor at the launch of Elle Magazine. He has been a Bollywood stylist quite a few times. Narendra Kumar has worked and experimented with the fashion industry with his pops of neon and metallic hues in prints ranging from camouflage to doodles and has clearly not disappointed. He changed his designs following the needs and wants of the industry and has produced some of the best creations.
