Deepak Perwani is a prominent Pakistani model, actor and fashion designer. He is also one of the well-known Hindi Sindhi community member in Pakistan. He was born on 1973 in Mirpurkhas, Sindh, Pakistan and belongs to Mirpur Khaas.
Deepak became popular for making the world’s largest Kurta (upper garment used in South Asia) in year 2007; big enough that a 175-foot tall person can wear it. Later, it was accredited by the Guinness World Records after an arduous documentation process. The Kurta is 800Kg by weight, 101 feet tall and 59.3 inches wide. The sleeves are measured 57 feet long each. The making took 30-days and the creative teams consists of 50 dedicated professional tailors and it was made by cotton blend fabric with a total of 800 yards. This earnings that he got from the world’s largest Kurta will later be given to the children of the Edhi Foundation in Pakistan.
Deepak has his own fashion boutique located in Pakistan. His creations symbolizes Power and Men’s confidence as stated in the Men’s Designing by Deepak Perwani. He participates in various national and international fashion shows and present his brilliant and unique designs, from where he receives a lot of fame and accolades. Aside from this, Deepak won the Lux and Indus Style Awards. He also set a signature name of his own name, ‘Deepak Parwani’. He never follows any traditional or modern designs, but he usually creates a design of its own. In 1996, he also launched his flagship store located in Zamzama. Recently, he took the number one position at the Bulgarian Fashion Awards (BFA) and became the 6th Best Fashion Designer around the world, from which he scored 7925.77 points. He also won 5 awards at the Eirine Awards including the Fan’s Favorite award with 3,694 votes on Facebook, Unique Acknowledgements Award for making the world’s largest Kurta and the Charity and Humanitarian support award for his association on many global charitable organizations and got a cash price of 6000 Euros.
Besides being a professional and brilliant designer, Deepak is also an actor. He stared to act when he was 19-years old with Aneeta Ayoob, and as of now, he completed five dramas and three telefilms. He appeared in the 2007 mini-series,
Meray Paas Paas
and later, he played the role of Mahmud, a father who is saddened by his daughter’s mental condition in the Pakistani mystery drama series, Kadoorat in 2013. Both were aired on Hum TV. Channel.
