is a Delhi-based fashion designer who was born on November 7, 1979. In 2014, he became the first Indian designer to win the International Woolmark Prize at Milan Fashion Week. The winning collection was available for purchase in shops all around the world. He graduated from Kanpur University with a master's degree in physics (Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University). He completed his post-graduation in clothing design at the National Institute of Design (NID) in Ahmedabad, where he received the Best Student Designer of The Year award in 2005. He is married to Divya Mishra Bhatt, and the couple has a kid together. He was the first non-European designer to be awarded a scholarship at the Istituto Marangoni in Milan, Italy, in 2009. MTV India honored him with the MTV Youth Icon of the Year award in 2008. He debuted in 2006 at Lakme Fashion Week with a collection made up of cotton handloom textiles from Kerala, particularly off-white fabrics with golden Kerala mundu borders.
