Manthan Kanani is an upcoming Indian filmmaker who is best known as the creator of the award-winning movie, ‘The Ageless.’ He has worked extensively in the Hindi film industry. Manthan was born in the city of Bhavnagar in Gujarat. He studied medicine at the Government Medical College in Bhavnagar and graduated with an MBBS degree. The early part of his career was involved with the healthcare sector as a doctor. Manthan’s real interests lay in the realm of cinema, and eventually, he left his job to start working on independent short films.
In 2018, he released ‘The Ageless,’ a short film that went on to receive 16 international recognitions. Along with professional fame, the movie brought Manthan numerous awards. It was the winner of the ‘CICFF Award,’ ‘The Gold Award’ at the Virgin Spring Cinefest, and ‘Best Indie Film’ at the Festigious International Film Festival. His big break got him noticed by the production house, ‘Maddock Films,’ which offered to take him on as an Assistant Director. He has since worked on other movies like ‘Lag Gaye’ and ‘Ventilator.’
