Kannedhirey Thondrinal revolved around the subject of love and friendships. Apart from acting, Ravichandran also allowed Bharath to assist him for post-production work as well.Ravichandran also gave youngsters a chance to showcase their acting skills in Natpadhiganam 79.

However, the film opened to a lukewarm reception from the audience as they criticized its screenplay.
