Tushar Madhav is an Indian documentary filmmaker from Mumbai. He learned filmmaking at the AJK Mass Communication Research Centre (2007-09). He graduated in Arts, Economics from Hindu College University, Delhi (2003- 2006). Tushar's first movie Soz- A Ballad of Maladies, won India's 64th National film awards for The Best Debut Film. Other mentions include Ram Bahadur Trophy for the Best Film and the Best Documentary at 10th IDSFF Kerala. These awards helped him start the investigation for making a film on the heritage of popular Gond Pradhan artist Jangarh Singh Shyam.
Tushar studies very thoroughly on the topic on which he has to make a documentary. Currently, he is studying the artistic development that took place in the 1980s at Bharat Bhawan. His other projects constitute Homespun, and This is My Hood.
