Swagata was a corporate lawyer by profession; she left her job to follow her dream. Well known for role Laali in Short film Shatika: The undraped (2017). She dreamed to be an actor, and to work for the film industry. She did a course in method acting, screenwriting, and in a direction from, Jeff Goldberg studio. She worked as a tutor there. She entered as an assistant director and screenplay writer for short films. Further, she acted in several. She didn't stop here, recently opened her production company, Thrice as Nice Entertainment. Being a law student, always try to aware people in social aspect through her short films.
Swagata's directed films have a touch of a sensitive social clause. The importance of being earnest, The odd couple, Misanthrope are some of the plays written and associated with her. She wrote and produced a play, Charades. Swagata got the nominations for the best supporting actor at Madrid International Film Festival as well as at International Filmmaker Festival, London. She named the Best Debut award at the Digital Hash monthly. Recently, she received the certificate of achievement as a Best Woman Filmmaker at the Vegas Movie award.
