Her father, Ramesh Taurani, and his brother Kumar Taurani runs a Music and film based Production Company called Tips Industries. Since her school days, Sneha wished to work behind the lens and always aspired to be a filmmaker.

Coming from a dark background, Sneha Taurani's success in cinema didn't happen overnight. She started from scratch to be in the position she is in now. She began as the hair, makeup, wardrobe assistant, and gradually became an art director. She then worked as the part of managing crew and handled call sheets of the artists. Sneha Taurani then got promoted as the chief assistant director and took care of the film schedules. She worked as the production assistant in the movie Ajab Prem Ki GhazabKahani. In 2009, Sneha debuted as the assistant director with the romantic comedy movie Wake Up Sid.
