Kashmiri made his directorial debut in television with the drama series Dil-e-Muztar depicting a love triangle between the lead characters. The show first aired on 23rd February 2013 in Hum TV.

The Directors’ Board of the Hum TV network awarded Kashmiri the Hum Honorary Phenomenal Serial Award in 2012 for the serial Humsafar. In 2014, he received nomination at the 2nd Hum Awards under the Best Director Drama Serial category for the serial Dil-e-Muztar. In 2016, he received nomination at the 15th Lux Awards under the Best Director category for the film Bin Roye.
