Rochak Sahu

Rochak Sahu is an Indian director, scriptwriter, and film distributor who has bagged a long list of awards in his career. He primarily works in the Hindi film industry.

Rochak is an alumnus of the prestigious Film & Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, where he focused on film production and filmmaking studies. He then received professional training in film appreciation from the National Film Archival of India. He has a certificate degree in different aspects of filmmaking from Harvard University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also has a master’s degree in Film Acting and Theatre from Jamia Millia Islamia.

Rochak started his career in 2016 by becoming an assistant to the director in Saurabh Tiwari Films. He then worked as visiting filmmaking professor and instructor in many institutes and also as a project director, screenplay writer, and content producer. He was a former acting instructor at New York Film Academy and was a filmmaking professor at the University of Mumbai for three years. He has worked for films, documentaries, advertisements, etc.

He is an experienced and established filmmaker with a total of writing more than thirty scripts and directing more than ten projects. Within a short span of his career, he has a credit of winning more than nine awards for direction, making a total of fifty- plus awards for his films. He was nominated for " GSF-Awards 2020 ", "Golden Fox Awards 2020" " Starlight Film Awards 2020", " National Awards, SIGN, India" "IFFOQ Australia"" China Academy Awards For Documentary Film( CAADF)" " World Cine Fest Awards 2020"  " Grand Indie-wise Convention" "BCIFF California" etc. He was pronounced the “Innovators Around the world" by the "Beijing International Film Festival.’

He has been part of many Indie films. He wrote, directed, and produced an Indie film called ‘No Clear Mind,’ was part of full-length and mini-feature films, wrote scripts for a few web series, directed promotional films, etc. throughout his cinema career.
