Prashant Kuhikar is an Indian Director and Editor. He was born in the city of Ahmedabad in Gujarat. Prashant Kuhikar completed his schooling at Swaminarayan High School. In 2006, he went to N. C. Bodiwala College/ Gujarat Vidyapith in Kanpur, where he enrolled in the Department of Communication, Journalism and Public Relations. After getting his Bachelor’s degree, Prashant Kuhikar went to Gujarat University and pursued his Master’s Degree in Mass Communication and Journalism. Soon after completing his post-graduation, Prashant Kuhikar got a job as an assistant director on the ‘Flavours of Gujarat’ TV series under ETV Gujarati.
On 20 May 2012, he married Neha Prashant Kuhikar, and the couple have two children together. A year later, Prashant Kuhikar made his debut as a director with the short film ‘Chhaayaa’ (2013). This film was nominated for the Special Mention Jury Award at the Lake City International Short Film Festival in 2013 and won the award for Best Short Film at the Gujarat International Film Festival. Besides being a director, Prashant Kuhikar is also a Teaching Assistant at the Department of Communication and Journalism at Gujarat University.
