She studied the Film Program at New York University as a recipient of Dean’s fellowship. Her most famous creation was the film ‘ Devi Click to look into! >> Read More... ’ also known as Goddess which was played in around 57 film festivals, among which it won the Grand Jury Award for Best Narrative Short at Outfest LA. It was also played in BFI and Edinburgh Film Festival. ‘Devi’ also won the Best Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor awards in the First Look Film Festival in New York and has also been nominated for Best Short at Raindance Film Festival. The film is based on intricate relationships among women based on class. Another significant recognition is her short film ‘Bittu,’ which is a Student Academy Award finalist and was also selected for Telluride Film Festival, BFI London Film Festival and Palm Springs ShortFest.

‘Bittu’ was also among the ten films shortlisted in the Best Live Action Short section of 93rd Academy awards. The movie focuses on discrimination and toxicity in Indian education.
