Judhajit Bagchi is an Indian Filmmaker and Photographer. Bagchi was born on the 26th of October, 1981. His most famous works include Amen (2010), The Story of Liquid Gold (2016), and I Am My Fairytale (2017). Bagchi, along with his co-filmmaker, Ranadeep Bhattacharya, won the National Award in 2020 for their short film Children of the Soil, which was based on farmer suicide. The duo also co-founded their house, Yaanus Atelier.
Bagchi was part of the Jury in the London Fashion Film Festival and International Business Awards. He is also the two-time recipient of the Cannes Dolphin Award.
Judhajit completed his schooling at Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandir, Belur. He graduated with first-class in Economics from Presidency College and later got a Post-Graduate degree in Film Studies and Cultural Studies from Manipal Institute of Communication. Later he did his second Post-Graduation in Mass Communication from Manipal Academy of Higher Education.
