Gouri Patwardhan is an eminent filmmaker, artist par excellence, and brilliant editor. She has been an illustrious alumnus of Goa College of Art and Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, wherein she completed her formal education in cinematography. She has been vocal in Urban Anthropology, collaborating with PUKAR [ a Mumbai--based youth organization]. She has been instrumental in advocating for students the proper skills required for film editing, direction, and screenplay at reputed institutions like NID, Ahmedabad, and Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture. Having quite an experience in the cinematic field, she won a National Award for a documentary in 2013 named Modikhanyachya Don Goshti ( or The Two Tales of Modikhana). Â
