Tarun Jain Born on 18th May 1985, he is an Indian actor, writ >> Read More... is an Indian Producer, Writer, and Assistant Director. He was born on 18 May 1985 in the capital city of New Delhi. Tarun Jain completed his schooling at St. Columbia’s School in Delhi before moving to the United States of America to pursue his higher education. He first received his Bachelor’s degree in Science and then went on to attain his Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University Of Southern California.

Tarun Jain also attempted to get a PhD in Electrical Engineering but quit halfway through to pursue a banking job. During this time, he simultaneously took classes in writing, acting, and improv comedy in Los Angeles. After a short stint in writing and filmmaking at the company- Capital One Financial in Virginia, Tarun Jain moved back to India and began his career in the Indian entertainment industry. 

Tarun Jain is famous for writing, Directing, and Producing three of his own films. His first short film was ‘Aakhir’, which came out in 2014 and showcased the dealings and insecurities of a small-time gang in Delhi. Tarun Jain’s next film ‘Amma Meri’ was released in 2018 and tells the story of a good son’s struggle and sacrifice to become a responsible father. In 2020, Tarun Jain released the movie ‘KAALA’, which is a short film on racism that was based on the attacks on Africans in New Delhi. ‘KAALA’ premiered at the Bengaluru International Short Film Festival.

As an Assistant Director, Tarun Jain has worked on popular movies and TV series including, ' Kohrra Kohrra is a Punjabi web series that started stream >> Read More... The Writer and Director is a talented professional and has experience working in top companies such as Capital One Financial, Pairon Talle, Reel Illusion Films, JUST 4 U, Elephant, Ekaa Films, Kajarya, ODDJOINT, Impact Week, and multiple other freelance projects. 

Over the course of his career, Tarun Jain has also worked for news agencies. In 2016, he worked as an Associate Creative Director at NDTV and The Quint for a few months each. Tarun Jain was even a full-time Project Manager and Director at The Quint for two years during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Aside from his role in the film industry, Tarun Jain is an Entrepreneur. In 2013, he founded iForIndia.org. This is a non-profit organization that helps empower citizens and push for political accountability. Through this platform, citizens can use technology to rate their political representatives honestly.
