Dipankar Dipon is a Bangladeshi theatre director and film screenwriter. He was born on May 22, 1976, in Rangpur, Bangladesh. He works in Dhallywood. His real name is Dipankar Sen Gupta. He did his graduation from Jahangirnagar University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He completed his M.A in Drama and Dramatics from Jahangirnagar University, Dhaka, Bangladesh, in 2002. His father's name is Sunil Sen Gupta, and his mother is Ranjeeta Sen Gupta. He worked on television for nearly ten years. He directed many TV movies like Lal Shari (2005), Osman Gani Chade Jabe (2006), Josandhara (2007), Rupar Mudra (2008), and Sanko (2011), and many more.
He worked as Live-Action Director at the Sesame workshop for four years (2008 - 2012). He also worked as a Senior Scriptwriter in Phantom Films in Mumbai for two years (2012 - 2014). His notable movie is Dhaka Attack (2017). This movie won 4 national awards in 2017. Dipon has won the Peoples Theatre Association Award, Charuniram TV Drama Award, and RTV - Diamond World Star Award for his direction works.
