Bedabrata Pain

Bedabrata Pain is an Indian Scientist and Filmmaker. He works in the Hindi Film Industry. Bedabrata was born on the 27th of March in the year 1963. He was born in West Bengal, India. His nicknames are Bedo and Mithu. He had his schooling from St. Lawrence High School in Calcutta, West Bengal, and South Point High School.

He later had his Electronics & Electrical Computer Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Kharagpur. He pursued his MS and Ph.D. From Columbia University in Applied Physics specialization. Ishan died at a very young age in an accident. Bedabrata worked for NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory for a while where he managed image sensors, focal-plane technology research, and advance development. He was part of the team which invented the CMOS image sensor. Bedabrata started his career as a Producer with the film Amu (2005). He later turned as a Director and Writer with the film Chittagong (2012). He won the National Film Award for Best Debut Film as a Director.
