Ajitesh Sharma is a director working in the Hindi and international film and entertainment industries. He has been a part of several projects, either as a director, assistant director, or location manager. He completed his education at the Zee Institute of Media Arts with a bachelor’s degree in Arts for filmmaking. He is known for his directorial debut in the documentary feature film WOMB (Women of My Billion). The film won Best Documentary for Global Impact at the 2021 Scad Savannah Film Festival, Georgia.
Additionally, the documentary was a part of the selection at the 2022 Mumbai Film Festival, 2021 SAFF Virtual Festival, and 2021 Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. Last, but not the least, it also won the Audience Award at the London Indian Film Festival. In addition to this movie, he was the assistant director for episodes of Delhi Crime, a series that won the International Emmy Award for Best Drama Series.
He also directed the television series Homespun which was released in 2020. Furthermore, he was the assistant director of Yesterday, a short film released in 2019. Ajithesh Sharma has also worked in the location management department of productions, as seen in his work for Sense8, a television series released in 2016. The series starred many famous actors and was nominated for Best Series in many award shows.
