Urvashi Gandhi

Urvashi is an Indian Dancer, who gained the fame through the Indian dance Reality show ‘Dance India Dance.’ Other than dance, she created a niche in photography and filmmaking too. Urvashi Gandhi was born on 27th February and belongs to a family where every second person is a doctor. But instead of going for that mainstream career, she chose to be a Dancer. She committed herself to dancing at a very early age and made her debut on television with Dance India Dance in the year 2011. She reached to the top eighteen Contestants of the show. She worked as a choreographer in Dance India Dance Little masters in 2010 and also in Dance India Dance Doubles. She trained the young talents of the country and provided them right guidance. She is a photographer with a professional degree from the Xavier institute of communications. Photography was her passion, since the age of twelve, and she pursued it later as a profession while working with Zee Entertainment Enterprises. She has also got a degree in Wedding and Art photography. Urvashi always had her plates full with two of her brilliant talents. Dance and Photography brought the best art out of her. She opened her Photography page in 2015 and named it ‘Say Cheese’ Apart from dancing, Urvashi tried herself in acting also. She gained fame through the Dance show ‘Dil,Dost,Dance’ aired on Channel V. It was the third season of the show.

She became popular as it was a show for the youth and depicts the relationship between the love, friendship and Dance. She was the choreographer behind the famous song “Chak Dhoom Dhoom.” She took part in a Dance Event in the city of Ahmedabad in 2012 where she was accompanied by her friend Neerav Gandhi. She gave a beautiful performance and was praised by the audiences. She conducted dance workshops in different part of the country and became a member of IFFDDA (Indian Film Dance Director Association). She also worked with ‘Expression Dance Company’ in 2013, training people and giving workshops.
