Shakil Sheikh is an Indian dancer and choreographer who work in Hindi and Malayalam reality shows. An alumnus of Bunts Sangha's SM Shetty High School and Junior College, Shakil was born on October 23 in Mumbai. Shakil rose to fame by appearing as a participant in Dance Deewana.
Shakil started his career on TV by appearing as a participant in the Malayalam dance reality series D4 Junior v/s Senior in 2017, which premiered in Mazhavil Manorama.
Following his debut appearance, he went on to feature in Zee TV's Dance India Dance season 6 and Color's Marathi 2 Mad in the same year. After the show, Shakil took part in FEEL season 2, India's Big Lyrical Dance Battle, where he won the first Runner up a title. In 2018, Shakil got his big break when he appeared on Colors TV dance reality show Dance Deewana.
In Dance Deewana, which brought three different generations on the same platform, Shakil represented the second generation (Youth category). But unfortunately, Shakil has to quit halfway through because of his injury.
During the nineteenth episode of the show, Shakil injured his leg and had to leave the show, much to the disappointment of the audience.
Nonetheless, Shakil made a stronger comeback in season 2 of Dance Deewana. In February 2018, he organized Shakil Shaikh Lyrical Dance Workshop. Since then, Shakil has been conducting different workshops on various dance styles.
