Mokshada Jailkhani

Mokshada Jailkhani is an Indian dancer, choreographer, YouTuber and author. She was born on 3rd March 1994 in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. Prerna Raina is her mother's name. She grew up in Delhi and lives in Mumbai. Mokshada is the niece of Bollywood actor Pankaj Raina. As a child, she became passionate about the entertainment industry and eventually trained in hip-hop, urban and dance halls.

Mokshada attended Delhi Public School on Mathura Road in Delhi before enrolling in Jesus & Mary College, a Delhi University college, to pursue her Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in Psychology. She dropped out of post-graduation to pursue her dreams.

At college, Mokshada actively participated in her dance society. She was a member of her college dance club - Mudra, where she achieved the Hall of Fame award at Delhi Dance Fever. She also joined Higher Vision Crew in Delhi during her master's degree.

Born and raised in a family of musicians, theatre artists and philosophy enthusiasts, Mokshada began her career as a strong contestant in the reality dance show Dance Plus Season 2, which aired on Star Plus in 2016 and was judged by Remo D’Souza. Mokshada became famous for her unique dancing skills and got praised by people. She was the first to get the double plus and became one of the top contestants. She was part of the team of Dharmesh Yelande.

Mokshada looked up to her elder sister, who inspired her with her dancing skills. When her sister discovered Mokshada's potential at age 12, she enrolled Mokshada in Shiamak Davar's Institute of Performing Arts, where she was a student herself. Mokshada began training during this time, learning Kathak and the basics of Bharatanatyam.

Mokshada publishes obscure blogs, choreographs, directs dance and music videos, and stars in a film. She is a blogger, choreographer, and aspiring actress. She is also frequently asked to judge dance shows. She also published her book Overdue Conversations on Amazon in April 2023. Mokshada is one of the ambassadors of Budweiser's Be A King movement and flag bearer of Body Positivity. She expresses herself through captivating dance and unequivocally emphasizes that kings are not born but created by their attitude, courage and drive.
