Mandeep Singh

Manveer Singh is an Indian Cricketer. He was born on the 18th of December, in 1991. He is a native of Jalandhar, Punjab. He is a right-armed bowler and a middle-order batsman. He made his debut in the national Indian team with his T20 gig against Zimbabwe in the year 2016. In the Indian Premier League, he has played with numerous teams like Kings XI Punjab, Kolkata Knight Riders and is currently playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore. Manveer Singh comes from an athletic family. His father is a sports coach in Jalandhar. His father did not want Manveer to go into this line of sports, as he wanted him to have a secure job. However, later when he saw Manveer’s performance, he was satisfied and encouraged him to pursue his dreams.

Manveer started his career, in a conventional manner, like any other batsman, he started playing in his local state’s team. He was then selected to play for the Ranji Trophy, as a player of Punjab. He also played multiple zonal tournaments for the North zone including “Vijay Hazare Trophy”. He came into the limelight when he became the highest run scorer in the year 2015 for the Vijay Hazare Trophy. After his performance, he was selected by the BCCI for the Indian team in 2016. He is predominantly an attacking batsman, but is an all-rounder with his useful balling skills. In the 2012 season of IPL, he was the leading run scorer of Punjab with 432 runs under his belt. He was given the honor of the “Rising Star of the Tournament”. He was also a part of the U-19 National Team of India.

He also played the world cup with his U-19 team. His current batting average is at 43.57, and he aims to improve it exponentially. In the year 2016, on the 25th December Mandeep tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend, Jagdeep Jaswal. The wedding took place in a gurudwara near his hometown Phagwara. Manveer has said in many interviews, that now he has his lady luck with him, he will make his ODI debut soon with the National Indian Cricket Team. Manveer met the resident of Newcastle, England on a social networking site in the year 2013. She is a makeup artist. Many famous Cricketers attended their wedding and wished them well.
