Aarif Sheik is the Vice Captain of Nepal Cricket team, and he is an all-rounder in his team. He was born on October 5, 1997, in Birgunj, Nepal. He is a right-hand batsman and right-hand medium pace bowler. Aarif’s debut match was against Hong Kong, in May 2014. Armed Police Force Club of National League and Golden Gate International College supported him for SPA Cup.
In 2014 Asian Cricket Council Under -19 Asia Cup tournament, Sheik scored 40 runs against India, 25 runs against Pakistan, and 48 runs against UAE. Katmandu Tournament named him the Player of the Tournament; he took 11 wickets and average of 52.20 score. Being impressed with his National tournament, he was qualified for National Squad, 2014 ACC Premier League.
Sheikh’s National debut was once again with Hong Kong team, where he bowled the Captain Jamie Atkinson and picked up another two wickets. He was sent to India for ten days training at the Cricket Academy in Bangalore. This preparation made him participate in 2014 Indian Cricket Council, World Cricket Premier League Division Three. Under 19, Nepal team took part in 2014 Asian Cricket Council, Premier League. Aarif Sheik was the second leading run scorer of the match. He earned a run score of 190 in 5 innings and an average of 38.00. It led him to his next debut to the List A team of 2015 Indian Cricket Council, World Cricket League Division Two in Namibia, which happened in January 2015. His team won 2015 Indian Cricket Council’s Under 19 World Cup Qualifier award.
