Shyam Gupta

Shyam Gupta is a creative producer associated with various television and film production houses. He began working as the production executive, chief assistant director, and editor in July 1994. Shyam worked for four years as a freelance producer for various production houses and worked as the production head for several programs produced by entertainment enterprises. He has been with ATN Music Channel from September 2000 till February 2001. He was then the executive producer (of programming) and scriptwriting (included the film and theme base showcases) for the music channel.

He joined as Manager of the programming department of Zee Telefilms Ltd. in Mumbai in February 2001. He was responsible for conceptualizing, scripting, and handling all operations involved with the live show, on-air event, and promotions of the shows. In March 2004, he got promoted to Senior Manager. He supervises programs like Paalkhi, Rooh, Diwali Dhamaka season 5, Holi Special, Johnny Aala Re, and Zee Cinestar’s Khoj Part1.

During his tenure at Zee, his work included closely monitoring the production house on various aspects of shows such as dialogue, casting, screenplay, costumes, production design, etc. He was also in charge of looking after the marketing and promotion team regarding the on-air and off-air promotion techniques and strategies selected for the programs, along with keeping track of the market-wise and target-wise performance of the programs and taking necessary actions and decisions regarding the same. He also evaluated and decided on the new proposals and provided creative and valuable inputs on the upcoming proposals.

From April 2007, he began working with different production houses as Head of Operations. He has worked in various shows.
