plays the lead role of Sitaara. Sitaara, a beautiful girl in her 20s, belongs to a conservative, traditionalist family. Her parents are pretty authoritarian and almost keep her caged inside the four walls of her home. However, as the story unfolds, we find Sitaara in a secret love affair with Saad. Her cousin Haider, who is a few years younger than her and an orphan living with her family, intermediates between Sitaara and Saad by helping them get across their letters. One fine day, when Saad waits outside Sitaara’s balcony to get her glimpse, her mother, played by Naila Jaffrey, notices him and gets an idea of what is cooking. How this incident changes Sitara’s life gets revealed in the rest of the film.
