Shruti is part of the industry for two and a half decades. She started directing when she was nineteen. She has written screenplays and dialogues of popular television like Sanjeevani, Kavyanjali, Kya Hoga Nimmo Ka for Starplus, Rishtey for ZeeTv, Koi Dil Mai Hai, Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi, and Yeh Meri Life for SonyTv, and Haqeeqat for SaharaTv. Also, she has developed some different concept shows like Aapk Ki Awaz, Saara Akash, Manzilen or Bhi Hai, Zaike Ka Safar.

Shruti has been an expert in fiction as well as non-fiction zone. She has worked with famous production houses like Miditech as creative director and supervising producer, with Balaji Telefilms as the head of non-fiction fiction division, with Applause as head of non-fiction and events, and with Gajendra Singha as creative director. In 2017, she became the new business and creative head of BAF Films and Media Ltd. She managed its creative excellence, accompanying the ongoing transformation of the Media and Entertainment industry in the Indian market. Shruti leads the creative division of BAG Ltd. She was associated with production houses such as Miditech, Applause, Ideas Box, and Endemol India.

The accomplished filmmaker was the creative director of the show Ek Nayi Umeed Roshni, Antakshari, Raaz Pichle Janam ka, Voice of India, Bhoomi, Mahakumbh Ka Mela, Museum of India for CNN, South Asian Superstar for TV South Asia, Chath Mahaprabhu for Etv Hindi, India the awakening, and some others. She developed a great, trendy Police Dial 100 with Endemol. Shruti was part of the film Antarwanda as a production designer, which won the National Award.
