Anamika Mazumdar is the first person who won one crore rupees in the KBC Season 9. She hails from Jharkhand, who has completed her graduation in commerce. By profession, she is a social worker who runs her NGO. Talking about her marital status, she was forcefully married to a ten years older man by her parents. She has two kids now. Apart from being a social worker, she has a great passion for dance. Thus, along with educating slum children, she also teaches them how to dance. Being an avid current affairs reader and having good knowledge, she decided to go to KBC.
Anamika worked very hard for KBC. Her family helped her a lot in her preparation. Being a bold person, she confidently answered all the questions until one crore question. Unknowing the answer to seven crore question, she decided to quit without taking any risk. When asked about the expenditure of the huge amount, she answered that she would spend the money on the maintenance of the NGO as they have very few funds. Being a bit superstitious woman, she also dedicated her win to a peepal tree.
