Amarabha Banerjee

Amarabha Banerjee is a singer, composer and songwriter in the Bollywood industry. He is from Shyamnagar, West Bengal and resides in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He was born to Jayanti Banerjee, a passionate classical musician. He completed his schooling from Ramakrishna Vivekananda Mission Vidyabhawan, Barrackpore, West Bengal and Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira, Belur, West Bengal. Amarabha completed his higher education in Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communications from Calcutta University; Bachelor of Science in Physics from Ramakrishna Vivekananda Mission College, West Bengal; and Master of Science in Physics from Tata Institute of Fundamental Research. He has also done a course in music from Shri Subir Bhattacharya in Shyamnagar, West Bengal.

Before starting his music career, Amarabha has worked as Research Scientist in Tata Institute of Fundamental Research till 2013, as a Category Manager in Packt Publishing, based in Mumbai, Maharashtra and as the Assistant Vice President in content & digital strategies in Angel One. As a musician, Amarabha has worked for several famous music labels, including Tips Music, T Series, Zee Music, Times Music and Sufiscore. He has also formed a band named Ehsaas, based in Mumbai.

Amarabha started with singing several music covers of famous Bollywood songs and moved on to releasing his original songs. He has composed for several music videos, named Khamoshiyan (2017), Dopahriyaan (2017), Watan Mera (2019) and Khidki (2020). He was the playback singer in the 2021 television series, Akkad Bakkad Rafu Chakkar. Some of the covers and songs by Amarabha includes, Raat Baaki, Aap Ki Ankhon Mein Kuch, Noor Barsae, Majhi, Ghar Mil Gaya, Choti Si Baat, Umra Bhar, Ab Ke Hum Bichde, Haan Kehde Tu, Amaas Ni Raatadi Ma, Meri Bheegi Bheegi Si and many more. His music is available in various music platforms, like Spotify, Youtube Music and Apple Music. In 2016, Amarabha won the Sur Sagar Music Reality Show, aired on Doordarshan National.
