Akshay Ghanekar is an Indian playback singer, popular amongst the regional audience for appearing in the singing reality TV show The Voice India. Mostly known for his predominant involvement in Hindi TV shows and short films, he has often been praised for his vocal depth and versatility. Based in Maharashtra, Akshay first stepped into the spotlight after winning the Pune Idol in 2013. One year later, he contested in Balgandharva Idol and secured the second position in that prestigious competition. Apart from that, he consecutively finished as the runner-up of Radio City Super Singer in 2013 and 2014. In 2015, he stood seventh in The Voice India, where he was a part of renowned singer Mika’s team.Â
