One of the incredibly talented music composers of the Hindi film industry, GS Kohli, was born in Punjab in 1928. His full name was Gurucharan Singh Kohli. He was a musician. He was skilled at playing instruments like Dholak, Tabla, and many more. His journey started as an assistant of a music director, OP Nayyar when he got his first break. Till 1968, he remained his assistant, even after becoming a music composer himself. He worked in many films with OP Nayyar, like CID, Mr and Mrs 55, Aar Paar, Hum Sab Chor Hain, and Do Ustaad.
The first album of his, as a music composer, independently came, was Lambe Haath, his second film was Mr. India, and his last film was Jaalsaaz which was released, in 1969. Faulad and Shikari movies did well at the box office in which Kohli worked. Also, people liked it because of Kohli's wonderful music. Some of his most famous songs are from film Shikari, like Tumko Piya Dil Diya, Ager Main Puchun Jawaab Doge, and Chaman Ke Phool Bhi Tujhko.
