Kaushal Kshirsagar founded Barndoor Films in 2014 to provide production services such as script writing, direction, cinematography, sound mixing, dubbing, and editing. He has a strong hand in cinematography, stretching from ad films, music videos, indie films, short films, and video production. Having completed his diploma from the Prague film school, he debuted as the director of photography in 2018. Kaushal Kshirsagar is known for his subtle cinematography in Hankaar (Season 1), streaming on MX Player in 2018. The story is set in Mumbai and revolves around the crimes and struggles of five people who are unknowingly attached to a common enemy.
His second work in Nani is a Zee5 short drama about the struggles of a Pakistani grandson (named Hasan) to fulfill his Nani’s (grandma’s) wish to visit her childhood village located in India. Kaushal has particularly elevated the short film through his colorful renderings.
