Harish C Joshi, aka Harish Joshi, is a beacon of flawless meticulousness in the field of cinema. He is an Indian cinematographer who has deftly brought magic into every piece of work he has molded into shape. He has worked in many north-Indian film industries, chiefly in Hindi cinema.

Joshi is a Mumbai-based D.O.P., who began his career as an assistant cameraman. He also operated the camera as an operative cameraman, and a second unit cameraman before rising to the position of one of the top cinematographers of the age. He has been fascinated by pictures, camera lens, and creativity since a time he could remember. He stepped into the shoes of a cinematographer, and since then, he has left everything that he has touched gold. He was the director of photography of movies such as Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi, Don Muthuswami, Vivah, Ek Main Ek Tum, Daal Mein Kuch Kaala Hai, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, and so many more. He also worked in Marathi and Bengali cinema as a cinematographer with Poran Jai Jolia Re, Sakhi, Sukhant, Chaukat Raja, etc.

Joshi’s cinematic prowess and his ability to capture raw emotions with subtlety has earned him respect from his fellow crew, as well as numerous awards from the administration. In 2012, he received the Punjabi International Film Academy Awards for the Best Cinematographer, for the film ‘Jine Mera Dil Luteya.’ He won the Best Cinematographer award in the State Cultural Awards 2011-12 for his exemplary works in Marathi cinema. His ineffable genius was recognized by the Maharashtra Ministry of Cultural Affairs.
