Savio Barnes

Savio Barnes is a dancer, Bollywood Dance choreographer and actor. He became famous after choreographing many performances on the TV reality show named Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa for season three, four, five, six and seven. He is from a Catholic family who generally gets into the banking industry, but he changed that and became the first member of the house to enter the entertainment industry. He judges Marathi dance reality show called “Maharashtracha Dancing Superstar - Chhotte Masters.” Savio is the son of Leena and Stany Barnes. He was born in Udyavar- Udupi district, Karnataka.

He has choreographed dances in South Indian films and began his career as a dancer from there. He completed his education in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India and currently resides in the same city. He has many performances on shows like Dance India Dance, Li’l Masters, and Zee Cinestars Ki Khoj. He is a terrific dancer. He choreographed the song “Pyaarki Ye Kahani Suno” from Honeymoon Travels. He paired with Bharati, an Indian Comedian, in Jhalak Dikhla Ja-5, a celebrity dance show, and it made his career take off in the Bollywood. He is passionate about dancing and never learned with professional guidance. He learned dancing from Bollywood stars such as Govinda, Jitendra, Mithun, etc. HE used to dance in Church and other small functions. He never got to meet him but met his brother while in America for a show. He takes workshops in Australia, Singapore America, etc. and teaches dance moves to the ones who are interested. Besides dancing he likes to cook for his wife to keep her happy as he has to travel a lot and gets very little time with her.

His favourite dish is roasted chicken. He also likes acting and does it whenever he is not dancing. He takes criticism as a challenge and learns from them. He believes if you don’t take criticism in a positive way you cannot grow as an artist or a person. So, one should take criticism in their strides.
