Alisha Singh is an Indian dancer and choreographer turned actress who was hailed and raised in Ranchi, Jharkand, India. She came to Mumbai to pursue her dancing career. Alisha was born on April 16, 1990. She lives with her parents and two siblings. She loves dancing even when she was just a child, so when her parents saw her talent and passion for dance; they enrolled Alisha in a small dance institute in Jharkhand at the age of 11. She studied for two months until she heard that there is an audition for . Her father encourages her to try the audition without knowing that this will change her life forever. She was selected and she is the only one who was selected in whole Jharkhand in Bihar. She became an overnight sensation on newspapers, magazines and local television channels. Alisha won the dance competition, Boogie Woogie for three times and since then, she started to receive many offers from dance reality shows.

Later, she joined another dance competition show, Dance India Dance on Zee TV. Alisha was the first runner-up in DID Season 1, while became the winner. She was just an ordinary girl when she joined Dance India Dance but because of her outstanding performances, she gained many praises from the viewers and became Ranchi Ki Rajkumari. Alisha danced for six whole years and she was also trained in classical dance. Alisha and her eldest sister are also running a dance school of their own.

Her performance in Dance India Dance reached to a new hike in her dancing career. A year later, Alisha was called by Palki Malhorta to join the dance-based television show, Dil Dostii Dance as Neha on Channel V India. Getting a chance to be called up for the show, gave her an opportunity to set her footprints on Mumbai. But later, Alisha quits on the show due to her hectic schedules.

Even though Dil Dosti Dance is all about dancing, Alisha had to go through some sort of learning on how to act, and as days passes by, she got a little bit of inclination towards this genre and decided to try out a new turning of her career and became an actress. There is no particular character that Alisha is looking into, rather she is open to all kinds of shows and characters; could have been positive or negative role, but it has to be challenging, interesting and should possess chances to bloom the acting skills she got.

Alisha also choreographed the KBC 5 in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 5. She was also seen in Dance India Dance Little Masters and recently, she joined Life OK’s reality show, Dare 2 Dance hosted by . She also assists Indian choreographer, in Dhoom 3 and soon she will be seen in some of Vaibhavi’s Bollywood projects.
