Ashwin Chitale is an Indian actor who predominantly worked in the Marathi and Hindi films. He is also known as Master Ashwin Chitale. He was born in 1996, in Pune, Maharashtra in India. He has portrayed different characters in Marathi and Bollywood films. He has done some short films.He grabbed National award in best child actor category for his role in Shwaas(2004) a Marathi language film. Ashwin began his careeras a child artist in the year 2004 through the critically acclaimed Marathi language film Shwaas.

At the age of eight, Ashwin captured the attention of film critics for his film Shwaas. In this movie, he portrayed a character of a child diagnosed with retinal cancer and went on to win National award for best child artist. In 2006, Ashwin debuted in Bollywood as Nana Parker’s son in movie Taxi No.9211, and in the same year, he played a crucial character in the Hindi film Ahista Shasta. In 2009, he made an appearancein the Bollywood film Zor LagakeHaiya! That movie won four film festival awards. The film depicts the story of an enthusiastic gambler Rahul (John Abraham). He discovers that he has three months to live. At the cancer care unit, Rahul comes across Ashwin’s character (Govinda), who cheers him up and motivates him to gather up thecourage to live life to the fullest. Govinda is a comic addict and anticipates the future of the other cancer patients based on what he reads in comics.He has done a fabulous job in portraying the character, Govinda. Ashwin went bald for the film to make his character more realistic.
