Anshuman Nandi was born in the town of Pratapgarh in Tripura's east. Anshuman Nandi's musical interest comes from his family, as his father, Biswajit Nandi, is a professional drummer and his mother, Reshmi Nandi, is also a trained classical music artist. The child prodigy, whose journey with music began when he was only nine months old. He started playing with drumsticks, and surprisingly he picked up the skills quite early than others.

Anshuman Nandi was trained by his father, Biswajit Nandi, who also teaches drums to students. He is currently pursuing his education at Sri Krishna Mission School at Agartala, Tripura.
